There is a bit of a trend here I think.

So far, in recent months, we've had the
- Beer Garden burn down
- Sau Kee Kitchen Fire
- Deli Lamma Kitchen fire 2 weeks ago.

all effectively put out of business for various periods of time. Conspiracy theorists will have a heyday. Personally though, maybe worth pointing a finger towards severely over loaded circuits and lots of rain.

Well, the Beer Garden fire was caused by a candle left burning in the bar, no suspicious circumstances, according to the official police investigation which is completed now.

Sau Kee was a kitchen fire caused by hot oil catching fire, I've heard??
As semi-regular guests we might ask them next time.

Not much of a conspiracy so far.

First thing I've heard about any Deli Lamma fire...

Just a string of coincidences indeed. Candle thing is far fetched though - i was in there just after the fire crew left and unless they kept the candle in the back of the beer fridges then there is no way - that was pure and simple shoddy electrical work and the candle ruse would be for the insurance collection one would hazard a guess. After all, I believe the owners did the electrics themselves so therefore, no claim.

Yes, a few weeks ago. Exact cause unknown according to Praful, though electrical fault suspected.
