I’ve heard a rumor that the Deli Lamma has been sold. Can anyone confirm this?

Another Lamma Rumour? Or confirmed?

The signage being taken down a few days ago looked like a pretty strong clue of changes coming...

iPhone photo just received courtesy of Harry Harrison, titled "Happy Shopfitter".

Still a lot of renovation to be done, but does anybody have an idea when the re-opening will happen?

The Gaido Pier last night, the iconic Deli Lamma painting leaving Lamma soon.
I wonder where it'll be going. Landfill, or somebody bought the painting?

The end of an era, one of the most popular bars & restaurants with so many loyal fans, falling out of favour for still a bit mysterious reasons. There have been so many positive Lamma-zine stories over the years, all featuring this place and its colourful patrons.

The new place in the same cozy and wonderful venue, Pizza Milano, doesn't seem to be able to repeat the former success, despite their great pizzas.
What would they need to change to become really popular, I wonder?

Seems like Pizza Milano's hours policy is "nah, we're open sometimes if we're not feeling that lazy". Hard to remember last time when I actually saw it open. So I don't even consider it for a dinner anymore.

The price of a pizza? They seem to be linked to the property market

Yeah but they are a complete rip off for what they are. Why charge town prices when you're not paying town rent?

I'd rather have a pizza I can collect locally than spend $32 and an hour going into town to collect one. My choice of course. :)
