I am planning to start a rooftop garden and was wondering which is the best place to get seeds and whether I should start them in small containers and then transfer them to big pots or if it is ok just to grow the seeds in the big pots from the beggning.

The best and cheapest way to get seeds, pots and all the equipment is at the flower market in Mong Kok (Flower Market Street).

On Lamma, there is a small selection of seeds at the Tai Peng Regent Store.

I transferred plants from small pots to large ones and it was not easy. Small pots can also slow down or kill your plant if you don't transfer on time.

I wanted to let you know i have started my garden! I have eggplant, two types of tomatos, squash, melon, chives, and okrha. Im going to be building a compost pile too. Thanks for your advise.
