Who is going to the Harbour Fest and who is going to Victoria Park for Rockit? (afkap, symbol) Prince v Supergrass?
Could we have a poll with:

Harbour Fest (Prince)
Rockit (Supergrass)
Waste of tax money
Why not?

Thanks L-G.

The poll is online now.
But there's no way of entering opinions into a poll, just multiple choices.
I've added the double option for really eager fans.

Well, at the end of the day you just pick one. But good one for the 'going to both' category. Please put me down for Vicky Park and Supergrass - thus 100% of the vote. (I notice you didn't vote either L-G). [<<smiley face flushing>>]
I'd love to hear a Haiku about the Harbour Fest. I think they are both infectious.

Not wanting to rant on... but...
If you google search Harbor Fest (as appantly all of America will be tuning into this mega event via ABC) you get Prince's web-site.
If you google search Harbour Fest as the rest of the world would spell Harbour, you get the full monty!
So why is this event spelt incorrectly for its intended audience?
And even after a carrot of US$5 million we still can't get the Rolling Bones to play here? But we get Westlife! This is my money too that they are wasting. I think the Stones know something we don't.

The family day sounds fun though.

Can't say I qualify to vote here - my current budget would pretty much exclude me from festing the harbour or rokking it...

Is there a complete line-up for either of the above events yet? they seem to be announcing acts whenever they seal up deal - it's been pretty hard for me to keep track of it all. I'd love to know exactly who I'm missing out on...

I LOVE THE WIGGLES - and I'd love to dance to Dorothy the Dinosaur

You should be able to get the line up from this link

http://www.rockit-hk.com

It looks like a very well planned event cateering for all types. I think the Harbour Fest is going to look rather dull in comparison.

Could you move this to the music section L-G?

Yes, OK, done!
Sorry for not doing this earlier as it was kind of obvious to move it...

Thanks for the link to Rockit, Insomiac :)

Can't say I know a lot of the bands, but I'm definitely eggsighted about The Regurgitator coming to HK!! Have been a little fan since my days in Aust... Go the Gurge!

Back at the other camp, I'm looking forward to the Atomic Kitten at Harbourfest - the gals are quite well know for 'accidentally' showing their bossoms on stage...

Let me put it this way - if we're expected to pay quite high prices for the tickets on top of our paid taxes (the Govn't/HK Invest/AmCham are using tax funds to run the series of concerts too, remember?) - why not pick the bands that give us that little extra?

P.S. No offence, ladies...

Supergrass arn't coming to Rockit now, by the way, since they had too much of it? Kidding... I think one of the band member has a very ill family member.

In the meantime, I think NUDE will be Rockiting?

Nude @ Rockit? Nude & rocking it? You wouldn't want to miss that, Samson, wouldn't you? But these are Nude boys, no?
Nude isn't confirmed yet, I heard, as of yesterday...

But Lamma's Garoupa is confirmed to play on Sat over lunch, but the exact time is still floating.

Isn't it good that both Garoupa and Nude are playing at Rockit, both Lamma bands who are new on the scene, haven't had much experience as bands, yet Thinking Out Loud who have been playing the same old songs for years can't even make the line-up!

I was suggesting to the Garoupa guys yesterday that they should replace Supergrass as headliners!

But they said that they have enough pressure already, being nervous about playing before such a large audience and everybody knowing about their performance...

Apparently Finlay Quaye is replacing them.

Nude, led by 'His Holyness' Sam (if he can get out of bed in time), will be playing a selection of their favourite hymns around 1130 am on Sunday.

The NUDE sticker and gig details just went into the Events Calendar and onto the home page, together with an update on Garoupa's gig just before NUDE.

If somebody is shooting pictures of the two gigs and would like to see them here and in the Nov Lamma-zine, email them to me, please.
