Thanks Ingmar! Yes I hope she can get a Brazilian passport as well as a British one and a HK ID card. How many passports has your little dude got so far?

Just the one- he's a Pom! It would have been difficult to get him a cloggy passport so we took th easy option- we were in a bit of a hurry.
They're both EU passports so no big thing.

A few more nationalities from Tai Peng and Po Wah Yuen:

Icelandic, Polish, Norwegian, Swedish

Who knows some more nationalities? They have to live here and have a valid passport from that country.

Let me collect what we have so far:

Afghani

American

Argentinian

Australian

Austrian

Bahamian

Brazilian

Canadian

Chilean

Chinese

Cook Islander (?)

Cuban

Danish

Dutch

Ecuadorian

Filipinos

Finnish

French

German

Hong Konger

Icelandic

Indian

Indonesian

Irish

Israeli

Italian

Japanese

Malaysian

Mexican

Moroccan

Nepali

New Zealander

Norwegian

Pakistani

Palestinian

Polish

Russian

Samoan (?)

Senegalese

Singaporean

South African

South Korean

Spanish

Sri-Lankan

Swedish

Swiss

Thai

Turks

UK

Ukrainian

Well, all of us together haven't even reached the 49 nationalities yet that the one who started this topic, Alastair, claimed to know personally. He might have been exaggerating "slightly"? Can we top 50?

Northern Irish
Swiss (does Pierre still live on Lamma?)

There must be a Nigerian somewhere on Lamma. I'm waiting for my payoff from his frozen bank account.

Is Northern-Irish a separate nationality with a separate passport, besides just British? Why is it called UK, then?

Pierre never was Swiss, just one of his many PR stories. Italian father, German mother, lived in Sydney as a bouncer for a long time and for a very short time in Zurich.

His wife and daughter still live here, but he seems to spend most of his time in town and in Macau organising fight tournaments, as far as I've heard.

A Nigerian scamster on Lamma? That would make a good story...

Definitely not a Guinness-record-worthy number so far but still pretty impressive for a such a small place of well below 6,000 residents!

Can we find at least four more nationalities living here, reaching 50 in total? Anybody?

You have stated British and English as separate nationalities

All English people are British
But not all British people are English

So can we have Scots people and Welsh people as additional nationalties?

And there must be at least one Irish person on Lamma, surely?

Not sure about this, but I thought they all have a British/UK passport only?
There's no special document for a Welsh, Scottish or Irish "nationality"? So there's only one nationality for all of them and we're back down to 45 nationalities, deleting English in the list above. Correct?

Hah! Well no actually - they both have EEC passports, as do all EEC nationalities. But yes, UK and Irish are the only two OFFICIALLY recognised nationalities in the British Isles. Though a good portion of Scots are clammering to turn the clock back.

Can somebody confirm if the Cook Islander and the Samoan still live here?

Somebody actually knows for sure a Korean (South or North) and a Taiwanese?

Any more African, South American, Eastern European, ex-USSR nations or small island states?

There are quite a lot of those around, I believe, and they congregate at those beach parties with all this electronic, spacey music.

The last one, a few days ago, was for Parksy's 50. birthday. Funny, I always thought he looked much older than that. Maybe Martians age much faster than hoooo-maahns?
