My Friend Roland Mosl from the Austrian Green Magazine PEGE writes about his trip to Manila on the Philippines to
collect the Gusi Peace Price for 2011 and the Money the Rich trough out of the Window by not paying the Labor force more as 50 USD but 600 USD for they're Air-conditioner.
Reminds me of Lammas Miss informers about a Clean Environment and the anti Baroque Protesters

US$ 600 monatliche Stromrechnung bedeutet 3300 kWh im Monat.

Why don't you shut up now with your irrelevant bullshit, it's become quite tiresome.

Fair enough if you have a sensible point to make but boasts about your mates award in the philipines has nothing to do with this.

This Article he writes about the Rich on the Philippines paying 12 times more for blasting CO2 into the Air with there Air-conditions as they pay there Staff. It reminds me of Lamma and the Brainwash and Misinformation you try to set the Lammaites up regarding Supertanker the unhealthy housing here, dirty Water and the Coal Power Station only to have them supporting an Idea which is unsustainable. It only keeps the People of Lamma nicely under control, instead of solving the Problem of poor housing, poor working places and the reintroduction of the old cultures and agriculture to the islands in the South China See. Why can't the People who live here not see the beauty of the place as it was before the Colonialist started robbing it?

Ewald none of your posts ever make sense. I think I will stop visiting these forums as im fed up of reading your stupid rants on every thread. I think you are either mental or completely stupid. Probably both.

If you dont live on Lamma why do you care what goes on here so much?

Well when its not built you might finally realise what an idiot you actually are and how wrong you are with just about everything you post.

Does it not make you wonder why everyone disagrees with you all of the time? Does that not cross your mind at all?

Idiot.

You point to some connection between an apparent situation of injustice in the Phillipines and some claims you are suggesting about injustices here on Lamma Island.

The first problem for me in understanding your ideas ewald, is that I cannot understand the connection. Either you have not supplied enough background explanation or, as it appears to me on the surface - the connection is unjustified - resulting from unclear thinking on your part or from deliberate prevarication in support of a position without concern for logical connection / justification of verifiable truths.

Furthermore, you put forward claims about a number of 'problems' on Lamma without explaining, supporting, or justifying them.

What problem of poor housing?

What misinformation about supertankers?

What misinformation about the power station? (I've no vested interest in supporting the power station but I fail to see what misinformation you are referring to. Perhaps you disagree with claims made regarding the use of fuel in the plant as detailed in Lamma Gung's post? Then clearly lay out your objections in grammatically understandable English supported by reliable and confirmable data.

How do you see Lammaites being controlled? By whom and for what purpose? I'm not arguing with you - I think there is a lot more hidden control in our societies than we realise - but it's not helpful to your reader to make a claim like this without an explanation.

What do you mean by "reintroduction of the old cultures and agriculture to the islands in the South China See"? Do you see this as a problem or as something desirable? Has it happened? Is it happening? Is it going to happen? Do you want it to happen?

Regarding your lament: "Why can't the People who live here not see the beauty of the place as it was before the Colonialist started robbing it?"
Colonialism has been shown to clearly be responsible for injustice and violence in many regions of the world and I'm certain that Hong Kong ought to be included. But what exactly do you mean here? It is a poor form of argument to use the reputation of colonialism in general without specific justification in adhoc opposition to whomever you would like to label as outsiders. What beauty, in particular, has Lamma been robbed of by colonialists? I suspect you are on shaky ground here. I dont think colonialist had much interest in Lamma Island. Besides, which colonialists are you referring to? Are you referring to the Chinese who colonized this region dislocating preexisting indigenous communities? Or are you referring to the British? What historical period do you refer to? Is is something that you see happening at present? If so, who are the 'players' in this colonial drama?

Are you aware that Lamma Island was almost completely deforested not so many years ago? Who was responsible for that deforestation? Who has been replanting the forests in recent decades?

You waste your own time in writing if your writing or thinking is so unclear that your readers can't understand you. And you are getting a lot of confirmation from your readers that your messages are unintelligible to them. If I am getting a lot of similar messages about something I'm doing from a variety of sources then I must stop and ask myself if it is really true that all of them are wrong and I am the only one who is right. (It could be - but much more likely I have to see what it is that I am doing wrong)

ewald, the impression I have from actually trying to understand some of your posts is that you are just trying to create dissension.

Are you deliberately trying to stir up problems and negativity? It seems to me (and I may be wrong) that you are. It is a tactic used by dishonest businessmen and politicians to create divisions within communities that they wish to control. Divide and conquer. Create confusion - build up intergroup or interacial tensions that were never really there in the first place. Or if they were there - were managemebal and could just as easily have been healed. This is the sort of thing that happened in Rwanda and many other places.

Do you have some interest in trying to create and build up some kind of division in the community between groups that are perceived is generally opposed to large scale residential development on Lamma Island and groups that you perceive to be cultivatable in support for development?

ewald, I have also found you obvious opposition to the power plant interesting. It gives a superficial impression that you are an environmentalist.

But, it has occurred to me that it would be in the interests of a large scale residential developer for the power plant to be dismantled. It's an eyesore and a source of pollution and would provide an obvious objection for residential luxury buyers to invest in Lamma developments. Removal of the power plant would increase the value of such property.

I agree with SSL956. Can I suggest we give Ewald his own personal thread and then those of us who don't feel inclined to listen to his drivel can just plain ignore the one called "Ewald's own personal Forum Matter" or somesuch.

Tavis {L_WROTE}:

What problem of poor housing?

Now after reading your comment I think you might not know European Housing Standards.
Comparing the Houses (of the rich) in the Philippines with what you find on Lamma you can only compare the Misuse of Energy for the Air Conditions because the Houses are not properly insulated. On the Philipines and on Lamma. Thats unsustainable for the Future. With proper insulation 80% Energy could be saved as Moesl writes unforgivable for poor Countries who still get Money from the EU to develop.BTW China does get it too!
There are no Solar Systems on the Roofs on Lamma, perhaps two broken ones and one working. In Europe it has become compulsory to produce a certain amount of solar power on your roof and it is law to insulate your house to a certain standard on new building. All this would change on Lamma, with the Baroque Development are new Standards coming.
Tavis {L_WROTE}:
What misinformation about supertankers?

If you red the post to me there are apparently no Supertankers coming to HK,but I can see them!
Tavis {L_WROTE}:

How do you see Lammaites being controlled?

Take the Children who went to the demonstration against the Baroque.
Nobody in his or here right mind is abusing Children by taking them to protest against a Housing Development being healthier energy sufficient and with bigger living quarters as the ones they are living now behind a Coal fired Power Station and dirty beaches where Tankers peddle there Oil. I counted 12 this morning and more than 20 on Friday. The Development of the Baroque will stop that lucrative busines.Nobody would buy houses near a Oil peddlers beach.

But no one on Lamma will be able to afford the houses in Baroque.

If it could be proven that you are connected to the developers it would be hilarious. Companies have tried using online advocates for years and when they try to do it dishonestly it always backfires once the public find out. It also doesnt help hiring a nutter.

I think acting like a nutter would be good cover.

And even if ppl thought you were a nutter you could accomplish things like discrediting or turning people off participating in the forums. A forum like this is a powerful support for community democracy by facilitating dialogue and the open exchange of views. In would be in the interests of dishonest developers or any sort of tyrannical power to disable or even shut down a forum like this.

You could purposely push people's buttons to cause reactivity and dissension. Get people fighting - saying things in anger thereby discrediting themselves.

And even a nutter can implant ideas in peoples minds - drop comments here and there - repeat certain ideas often enough that some people's thinking is subtly affected without their even realizing it.

Such a nutter wouldn't care in the least whether they were liked or not. They would just be playing the role to further an agenda.

It's also very interesting to look at the clarity of thought in these few lines along with the perfectly correct grammar and word usage.

It's so different from many of ewalds other posts. ewald usually makes a of errors that makes him appear to be someone with a fairly poor command of written English.

eg. 'see' for sea and 'there' for their.

But, as an English teacher familiar with the kinds of errors commonly made by ESL students here I find his posts a little strange. These are not the typical errors. It's more common for 2nd language English writers to use Chinese gramatical constructions with English words such as 'There have many...' and long time no.... or 'can let me to...' .
But these are not the kinds of errors I have seen in ewald's posts. I see the kinds of errors someone would add on purpose if they were trying to appear to be less competent with English.

In the long run of say 20 Years,an investment in the Baroque developement could turn aut cheaper.

a)you safe in Fuel enormously

b)you gout your own power with Solar in the next Oil crisis

All houses are getting cheaper in HK and Lamma, they are 63% overpriced, 40% down from now would be the normal price.

After the Baroque is build the prices for Lamma Chicken Huts will drop even further. If you want to save money, there are thousands of DIY sites instructing you how to insulate your house, but as I write, nobody here seems a bit interested. I think there is only on unit of Solar power in function on Lamma, but all want a cleaner environment and do nothing or the wrong thing to achieve it.

As I find it doesn't help to write and discus with Nutters.

It is irrelevant if it will be beneficial in 20 years, people on Lamma (and probably 99% of HK's population) would not be able to afford them, if they were built, which I dont think they will be.

I would rather live in a `chicken hut' as you call them on Lamma than a shoe box on HK island.

I have asked you before but you failed to answer - if you do not live on Lamma why are you so interested in what goes on?

If he is a stooge for the developers, that PR agency really needs to re-recruit.

perhaps I was talking to someone in German at that time I wrote, that's "see" then, but how right you are,in the German hybrid lingo 'sea" is correct..
